Day 01: Arrival in Cochin (Kochi)
Upon arrival at Kochi Airport, Indian Luxury Tours representative will greet and transfer you to the pre-booked hotel. Wash, change and relax. In the evening, go to see spectacular sunset view from the famous Chinese fishing nets. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel. 
Day 02: Cochin
Take delicious breakfast at the hotel. Then proceed for full day sightseeing tour of Kochi formerly known as Cochin. Major attractions you may visit today include Mattancherry Dutch Palace, St Francis Church, Colonial Houses, Portuguese Buildings, Fort Kochi, Jew Town, Jewish Synagogue, Chinese Fishing Nets, etc. Enjoy ferry boat to explore Cherai beach attractions and islands & backwaters. Dinner and overnight will be at the hotel.
Day 03: Cochin – Kumarakom
After breakfast at the hotel drive to Kumarakom, the magical backwater region of Kerala. Upon arrival at Kumarakom, check-in at your hotel pre-booked by Indian Luxury Tours. The complex network of lakes, canals, rivers, inlets, streams and lagoons which form the famed backwaters offer eye-catching views and is an ideal place to relax. Spend your day at relax enjoying superb natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere. In the evening enjoy sunset boat cruise in the picturesque Vembanad Lake. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 04: Kumarakom
Have a very hearty breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy houseboat cruise to glide over the serene and scenic stretches of magical Kerala’s backwaters. In the afternoon enjoy ayurvedic body massages at the resort. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 05: Kumarakom – Periyar
Have a relaxed breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast drive towards Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary & National Park. Upon arrival at Periyar, Indian Luxury Tour representative will transfer you to the pre-booked hotel. Freshen up and relax. Spend rest of the day at leisure or enjoying scenic and peaceful surrounding. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 06: Periyar
Have a very hearty breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy boat ride on Periyar Lake that runs through the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. During boat cruise you will have ample opportunities for wildlife viewing and birding. The sanctuary is best known for Indian elephants. Herds of wild elephants can be easily spotted in the jungle even on the banks of the river. Tigers, leopards, deer, wild boar, wild dogs, langur, monkeys, etc are also found in this jungle. In the afternoon take excursion to see lush plantations. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 07 : Periyar – Kumarakom – Alleppey
After breakfast at the hotel drive to Kumarakom. Embark on deluxe houseboat and cruise on the serene and scenic backwaters with full of canals, lakes and coves. You will enjoy excellent accommodation facilities on board the houseboat cruise. You will see fantastic natural beauty like never before. You will come across many traditional villages and lush paddy fields en route. Evening tea, snacks and dinner and overnight stay will be on board the houseboat.
Day 08 : Alleppey
Enjoy delicious breakfast on board the houseboat. Today you will enjoy one another day to explore serene and scenic backwaters around Alleppey. Evening tea & snacks, dinner and overnight stay will be on board the houseboat.
Day 09 : Alleppey – Cochin – Departure
After breakfast on board the houseboat, disembark the houseboat. And then drive to Cochin. You will be transferred to Kochi International Airport by a representative of Indian Luxury Tours. Take flight back to your home / onward destination with sweet memories of Kerala’s magical backwater journey. |
