Munnar – Periyar

Later proceed to explore the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary & Tiger Reserve. Day 10 of Enchanting Kerala
Periyar – Alleppey
Have a very hearty breakfast at the hotel and then travel to Alleppey. Upon arrival, Indian Luxury Tours representative will assist you to accommodate you into a traditional houseboat. Alleppey (also known as Alappuzha) is famous for its boat races, houseboats, backwaters, coir products, fish and lakes. Alleppey remains prominent on the tourist trial of Kerala as one of the major centers for backwater boat trips. A host of boat races are held here during the harvest season (between July and September). The backwaters of Kerala are unique and are a network of lakes and canals of more than forty rivers that drain into the Arabian Sea.
