Day 01: Delhi – Leh
Indian Luxury Tours representative transfers you to Delhi Domestic Airport to catch flight to Leh. On arrival our representative transfers to the hotel. Day is completely free for acclimatization and individual activities. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 02: Leh
Have a very hearty breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy full day excursion to Shey, Thiksey and Hemis Gompas. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 03: Leh
Take your breakfast at the hotel. Take excursion to Stok, Matho and Stakna. Visit the Stok Palace Museum at Stok Village. See some incredible statues and paintings at Matho. Later visit the Stakna Gompa famous for many beautiful statues and paintings. In the afternoon visit Shanti Stupa built by Japanese, Shankar Gompa which is associated with Spituk Gompa. Later visit the Leh Palace – a building in the splendid tradition of Tibetan Architecture. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 04: Leh – Diskit via Khardung La
In the early morning, derive from Leh to Diskit en route Nurba Valley and Khardung La. At Diskit Indian Luxury Tours representative assists you to accommodate you into tented camp. Visit the Diskit Gompa famous for its beautiful murals. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp.
Day 05: Diskit
After hearty breakfast, go to the Diskit Monastery to witness the Morning Prayer ceremony. Explore the attractions of Diskit Gompa which houses 120 resident monks. See many beautiful statutes. Return to the camp for lunch. After lunch drive 7 km to visit Hunder Gompa. You will see here a huge impressive statue of Chamba in the main prayer hall. In time return back to the camp. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp.
Day 06: Diskit – Leh
Take your breakfast. Drive back to Leh. Retrace the route to Leh via Khalsar and Khardung La. On arrival at Leh, Indian Luxury Tours representative transfers you to your pre-booked hotel. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 07: Leh – Kargil
After an early morning breakfast, drive to Kargil en route visiting Liker Monastery and Basgo Monastery. Also you will visit Rizong Monastery in time permitting. On arrival at Kargil, Indian Luxury Tours representative transfers you to your pre-booked hotel. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 08: Kargil – Ringdom
After hearty breakfast at the hotel, drive to Ringdom via Panikhar. Ringdom is a small village boasting Ringdom Gompa. The drive along Suru River offers wonderful view of glaciers and mountains. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp.
Day 09: Ringdom – Padam
Take your breakfast. After breakfast, drive to Padam over Pansi La. The drive of 108 km offers you wonderful view of surroundings. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp.
Day 10: Padam
Take your breakfast. After breakfast walk to the Karcha Gompa. You will have to cross the Zanskar River. Karcha is the largest and most important monastery in Zanskar. On the top of Gompa, there is superb view over the valley. Return back to the camp. Spend rest of the day at relax. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp.
Day 11: Padam – Ringdom
After breakfast, drive back to Ringdom visiting en route Sani Gompa. Dinner and overnight will be in the tents.
Day 12: Ringdom – Kargil
Have your breakfast. After breakfast, drive to Kargil via Panikhar. See the wonderful views of mountains and glaciers while driving to Kargil along the Suru River. On arrival, Indian Luxury Tours representative transfers you to your pre-booked hotel. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 13: Kargil – Srinagar
Have a very hearty breakfast at the hotel. Take drive over Fotula La. It is the highest pass on Srinagar – Leh Road. En route visit the Lamayuru Monastery. It is the oldest monastery in Ladakh. See the Chamba Statue caved out of a single rock. Also visit the Alchi Monastery. See the paintings. Continue your drive on magnificent pathway. On arrival at Srinagar, Indian Luxury Tours representative transfers you to your pre-booked houseboat at Srinagar. Enjoy the charm of Houseboat stay at Srinagar. Dinner and overnight will be at the Houseboat.
Day 14: Srinagar
Have your breakfast. After breakfast, embark on sightseeing of beautiful Srinagar. Visit the gorgeous gardens like Nishat Baga and Shalimar Bagh. Enjoy Shikar Ride on the picturesque Dal Lake. Explore the exceptional beauty of Srinagar. Dinner and overnight stay will be on the Houseboat.
Day 15: Srinagar – Delhi
In time you will be transferred to Srinagar Airport to catch flight to Delhi from where you will board train for your home/onward destination. |
