Day 01: Delhi – Chandigarh – Kullu – Manali
In the early morning proceed to Chandigarh form Delhi and then drive towards Manali. On arrival, Indian Luxury Tours representative meets and transfers you to your pre-booked hotel. In the evening enjoy stroll along the Mall Road. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 02: Manali
Take a very hearty breakfast at hotel. Visit to the famous attractions like Hadimba Temple, Manu Temple, Tibetan Monasteries, Vashisth Hot Water Springs & Temples, etc. Explore the scenic landscapes of Manali. See the beauty that enthralls you in every way. See the beauty that steals your heart and grab your attention. Manali is a picturesque hill station and one of the most important destinations for trekkers, nature lovers and honeymooning couples. It is a prominent hill station of north India. It is often referred to as the “Switzerland of India”. After exploring the charm and attractions of Manali, return back to the hotel in time. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 03: Manali – Darcha
Have a very hearty breakfast at the hotel. Later drive to Darcha. Cross the Rohtang Pass seeing its awesome beauty. Rohtang Pass is the gateway to Lahaul, Spiti, Pangi and Zanskar Valleys. Rohtang offers panoramic views of snowcapped mountain peaks. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp.
Day 04: Darcha – Pa Lahmo (3,450 m)
Have a hot drink and take your sumptuous breakfast. Enjoy trekking to Pa-Lahmo passing through two villages – Rareerk and Chikka. Chikka is the last village of Himachal Pradesh on the way to Leh. It is the starting of Darcha to Padam Trek circuit. It gives adventure enthusiasts and to get a real experience of trekking adventure. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp at Pa-Lahmo.
Day 05: Pa Lahmo – Zanskar Sumdo (3,600 m)
Have a hot drink and take sumptuous dinner. Continue journey from Pa Lahmo. Trek to Zanskar Sumdo. We will camp at Zanskar Sumdo. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp.
Day 06: Zanskar Sumdo - Chumik Nakpo (4,060 m)
After hot drink and breakfast, trek to Chumik Nakpo walking toward the stream flowing from Shingo-La. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp at Chumik Nakpo.
Day 07: Chumik Nakpo - Lakhang over Shingo La (4,060 m)
Take your breakfast with hot drink and then trek to Lakhang over the Shingo-La Pass. We will camp here for overnight stay.
Day 08: Lakhang - Kargil (4030 m)
After hearty breakfast, trek to Kargil visiting en route the first village of Zanskar Region. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp.
Day 09: Kargil - Purni (3,700 m)
Take your breakfast and trek to Purni. Dinner and overnight will be at the camp.
Day 10: Purni - Phuktal - Purni
Take your breakfast with hot drink and then trek to Phuktal Monastery built under a huge cave. The monastery is one of the most spectacular sights in Zanskar region. Return back to the camp at Purni. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp.
Day 11: Purni - Pipula (3650 m)
Take your breakfast with hot drink. And then trek to Pipula. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp.
Day 12: Warsangdo - Pishu (3,600 m)
After hearty breakfast at the camp trek to Raru. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp.
Day 13: Raru Padam (3,500 m)
Have a hearty breakfast at the camp. And then continue your trek to Padam. Padam was once the capital of the ancient kingdom of Zanskar region. Today is it is a sub-divisional Heard Quarter of Kargil district of Jammu and Kashmir state. Here you will visit Bardan Gompa – one of the oldest Gompas in the region. End your trek and camp here. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp.
Day 14: Padam - Kargil (2704 m)
Take your hearty breakfast with hot drink. After breakfast drive to Kargil. On arrival at Kargil, Indian Luxury Tours representative transfers you to your pre-booked hotel. Freshen up and relax at the hotel. Later explore the local bazaars. You may shop for local exquisite handicrafts. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 15: Kargil - Leh (3505 M)
After hearty breakfast, drive to Leh. On arrival, you will be transferred to the hotel by Indian Luxury Tours representative. Later explore the Leh bazaar. Leh Bazaar is an explicit market where one can find exquisite things like carpets, rugs, Kashmiri pashmina shawls, Persian motif, Tibetan jewelry, etc. Visit the Leh Palace. Visit the Shanti Stupa. Also visit to the Spituk Monastery, Thiksey Monastery and Phyang Monastery. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 16: Leh – Hemis Monastery Excursion
Have a very hearty breakfast at the hotel. Later visit to the Leh Monastery. Hemis Gompa is located at the distance of 45 km from Leh. It was built by the Red Hat sect of Buddhism. The walls of the Gompa are beautified with beautiful frescoes and the largest Thangka Painting in the world. The Thangka Painting depicts Guru Padmasambhava. The monastery is also famous for festival called Hemis Festival. In time return back to the hotel at Leh. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 17: Leh – Excursion to Traktok Monastery
After hearty breakfast at the hotel proceed to the village of Sakti. Visit the Traktok Gompa above the village. The Gompa is constructed round one of the numerous caves in the Himalayan and trans-Himalayan region. Here you will see beautiful paintings, frescoes, murals, etc. This monastery belongs to the Red Hat sect of Tibetan monasticism. In time return back to the hotel at Leh. Dinner an overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 18: Leh – Delhi
In the early morning, Indian Luxury Tours representative transfers you to the Leh Airport to catch flight to New Delhi from where you will board flight for your onward journey. |
