Day 01: Delhi – Leh
Take morning flight to Leh. On arrival in Leh, Indian Luxury Tours representative meets and transfers you to our pre-booked hotel. Day is free for complete rest for acclimatization. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 02: Leh – Shey – Thiksey - Hemis
Have a hot drink with sumptuous dinner. Later visit to monasteries like Shey, Thiksey and Hemis. Also visit the Leh Palace. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 03: Leh – Upshi – Hyamnya
Have a very hearty breakfast with hot drink. Ride 47 km south east to the small post at Upshi on the Manali Leh Highway. From here leave the highway and continue your ride towards east to the small village of Hyamnya about 35 km for camping overnight stay and dinner.
Day 04: Hyamnya – Chumathang
After an early breakfast, ride 60 km to the village of Chumathang. The village is famous all over Ladakh and Zanskar for its medicinal hot water springs. It is effective in healing all kinds of body pain. Dinner and camping overnight stay will be near the village.
Day 05: Chumathang – Sumdo
Enjoy hot drink and take sumptuous breakfast. Ride through a charming landscape to reach the Mahe Bridge 23 km away. Cross over and ride 14 km through a narrow green gorge to the village of Sumdo. We will camp near the village. In the evening, explore the small Gompa showing many preserved paintings and images. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp.
Day 06: Sumdo – Korzok
After hearty breakfast leave for the village of Korzok at the northern end of the spectacular Tsomoriri Lake. Ride 43 km through vast shrub land surrounded by rolling hills. Pass a small Turquoise Lake. Reach the village of Korzok where we have camp near this lovely lake for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 07: Korzok
Have a relaxed breakfast at the hotel. Walk around this lovely lake 24 km long lake. You see many migratory birds. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp.
Day 08: Korzok – Tsokar
Take an early morning breakfast and proceed toward another picturesque lake – Tsokaror Salt Lake. Go to the village of Puga where we turn west to cross the Pologongka La. Enjoy birding and wildlife viewing. Dinner and overnight will be at the camp near the Tsokar Lake.
Day 09: Tsokar – Debring
Take your tea and breakfast. Ride through the vast pasture lands of the More Plainsto to reach in Debring. Debring lies below the Tanglang La. We set up camp here. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp.
Day 10: Debring – Upshi
Take your tea and breakfast. Climb to the Tanglang La – world’s third highest motorable pass. Ride 56 km and arrive at the small village of Upshi. We set up camp here. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the camp.
Day 11: Upshi – Leh
Have a breakfast at the camp. Ride 60 km through the spread out Indus Valley along the Indus River to reach in Leh. On arrival, Indian Luxury Tours representative transfers you to your pre-booked hotel. Rest of the day is free for relaxing at the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.
Day 12: Leh – Delhi
In the morning, Indian Luxury Tours transfers you to Leh Airport to Delhi. Upon arrival at Delhi Airport you will be assisted to catch a flight for your home / onward destination. |
