The Bahai House of Worship or Bahai Temple is located in Delhi, the Capital of India. It is also known as the Lotus Temple due to its shape like half opened Lotus flower. The Louts Temple is one of the prominent and beautiful temples located in India. Built in white marble, this beautiful flower shaped flower also known as the Taj Mahal of Modern India due to its architectural excellence.

The Lotus Temple has 27 giant white marble petals of lotus. The temple also boasts nine water pools. These pools depict the nine unifying spiritual paths of Bahai Faith. The temple is open for men and women for all faiths, religions and every walk of life. People of all religions visit this temple and offer prayers and perform meditation here.

A perfect silence is maintained in the main hall of prayer to allow the devotees to meditate and pray quietly and serenely without being disturbed. The Lotus Temple is globally famous for its beautiful architecture. Tourists and devotees from all over the world visit this temple in Delhi, India. It is believed that about four million tourists visit this unique temple every year or about 13000 people every day or 9 people every minute.

It is one of the most visited buildings in the world. The Lotus Temple looks more beautiful and elegant in the night when the colored lights pass on it. The temple is open every day for tourists between 10 AM to 4 PM.

Since its inauguration to public worship in December 1986, the Bahá'í House of Worship in New Delhi has, as of late 2002, attracted more than 50 million visitors, making it one of the most visited buildings in the world. [9] Its numbers of visitors during those years surpassed those of the Eiffel Tower and the Taj Mahal. On Hindu holy days, it has drawn as many as 150,000 people; it welcomes four million visitors each year (about 13,000 every day or 9 every minute).
