The Qutub Minar is a tall minaret or town in New Delhi, India. It is the tallest brick & stone minaret in the world. It is situated in the Qutub Complex. It is surrounded by many other ancient monuments and collectively known as the Qutub Complex. It is the excellent example of Indo Islamic Architecture.
The Qutub Minar is the tallest monument of India with 379 steps leading to the top. Its height is 72.5 metre. It has got status of UESCO World Heritage Site. It is one of the most visited and popular tourist destinations in Delhi and India as well. In the year of 2006 it was the most visited monument of India, attracting about 39 lakh visitors, interestingly, even more than the magnificent white marble love monument Taj Mahal in Agra.
